(WISC) was conducted. It is stated that all three published Russian versions of WISC use normative
tables from the fi rst WISC edition published in 1949. Due to the Flynn eff ect, over the 68 years
following the fi rst WISC creation, the average IQ score on this intelligence test will exceed the true
level by 10–20 points. Applicability of using Russian versions of WISC for the diagnosis of mental
retardation is being discussed.
